Played by: Tosuto Megami Full name: Aois Zel Preutt Nickname, Pseudonym, Alias: Zel Age: 14 years Gender: Female Orientation: Asexual ([Aois finds partnership to be of very low priority in her life.]) Race: 1/2 Italian, 1/4 French, 1/4 Japanese Ethnicity: Japanese Spoken languages: Fluent English, Basic Italian, Basic Japanese Occupation: Home-school student Position: Grade 8 Dwelling place: House Living location: Oso Relationship status: Single, Not Looking. Crush: None. Family: Grandmother, age fifty-nine, and mother, age thirty-four. |
Appearance: Short for her age, Aois stands at 5'0". Comes in at 97 lbs, proportionate for her height. A light skin tone that's attributed to her albinism, along with strangely violet eyes and naturally white hair (though she dyes it black). Her hair stops at the edge of her neck, kept short to keep it from getting in the way. The average eye would see a frail young girl, and that eye wouldn't be lying. Her body is weak, though nimble. She can most often be found with a look of indifference and subtlety, though, on rare occasions, she can be seen smiling to her cat.
|
Attire: Always seen wearing the hand knitted, black cloak that her grandmother made for her, she goes everywhere with it. She'll usually wear a headband that contrasts with the current color of her hair (either black or white). A plain, black long-sleeve shirt is usually donned with black fabric pants that come down to the midpoint between her knees and feet. Her shoes are old fashioned, and would be referred to by most as "granny shoes", bland purplish-red in color.

|| Personality ||
Calm and introverted, Aois is the quiet, caring soul. The air of indifference surrounds her behavior, but this is merely a means to avoid getting too involved in the matters of others. Though she'll be there to help if only she can, she tends to keep to herself. The less involved you become, the less trouble comes your way, is her unspoken motto. Her past definitely influenced how willing she is to participate in anything with a stranger. If the situation calls for it, however, Aois can garner the serious mindset that is required to function in situations with higher levels of seriousness. She's more of a loner and prefers the sole company of her cat and a younger male companion that is a byproduct of her mild schizophrenia. As for the future, she prefers to stick to stepping into each new day and flowing into the next one, much like the sun does.
|| History ||
Born on February 19th in a small town in Italy, Aois was born to a traditional family. Her parents worked a farm by themselves, while she usually kept to herself in the house, playing with the guinea pig that her mother purchased for her. Life was fairly good for her, regardless of the albinism she was inflicted with. She was not allowed to attend school when she became four years of age, as most of the other students were. Instead, her parents raised her completely in the home. She'd continue this type of life until one fateful March 24th, when her and her mother arrived home from running errands, only to find her father laying dead, next to the slaughtered cow that he had been milking.
Not wanting to stay any longer than necessary, her mother quickly packed up some things for them to bring to her grandmother's. She feared that the killers would return, as their was an infamous duo that would often strike fear into the hearts of the people that inhabited this particular town. As soon as they were able to, shortly after a funeral was had, Aois and her mother left for the Oso district of Oblak City. There, Aois, who was now five years of age, would stay with her grandmother in her home, while her mother would flee.
Shortly after, Aois began to show signs of schizophrenia, which she'd inherited from her mother's side. Though very mild, she would see a nonexistent boy. Having started seeing him at such a young age, she grew up believing he was real, rather than as an imaginary friend, like most children her age would. She came to have a close relationship with this nonexistent companion of hers, and eventually found that his name was Tobi. Later on in her years, she encountered a stray cat that was running from some dogs. She fended them off with a stick and took the cat in as her own.
As per her schooling, she was still restricted to the indoors during most of the day and even more so on days when the sun was at its hottest. Her grandmother had already completed the documentation for her to remain homeschooled, and she made sure to teach her granddaughter everything she needed to know. Aois, being a very intelligent and curious child, absorbed everything like a sponge, and grew to be very smart. She's been homeschooled up to the present, but hopes to attend a public school someday.
She spent what time she could outdoors, protecting herself from the elements with the hand knitted cloak that her grandmother made for her shortly after her arrival. She grew to have a great sense of everything in the town itself, but this ended at its structures. She was very unfamiliar with events that took place outside of her home, and everything she knew came from watching the news (which wasn't very often, as she was outside whenever she could afford to).
Presently, she's in the 8th grade, and has begun taking care of her grandmother as her approach towards old age advances. Her schizophrenia was able to be kept under tabs due to how sheltered of a place the Oso community is. There was nothing to trigger it into progressing any further. While she is still not able to be under sunlight as much as she'd like, the advanced medical expertise of the people of Oblak City were making strides towards making her albinism less severe than it already is, and she hopes to one day be able to go to a real school, hopefully in time to attend an actual college or university.
