Fifteen as the dark side of the full moon
The sixteenth movement
Forward the Fool marches on the endless track and came upon the foot of a mountain black, where reigned a creature as dark as the night and vulgar and vile was all seen by sight. To the black god's throne naked people were linked. In every form of beastly desire they sinned. They indulged and mated and drank and ate. Everything that the Fool had come to hate. "I have given it up, I want this no more!" shouted the Fool, whose throat had gone sore. The desires were softly whispering from within, yet he resisted the temptation of sin. "All I am doing is bringing out what is there." answered the dark god with a curious stare. "Such feelings are nothing to fear or avoid. They are useful to climb up from the void." "You say that though they are clearly enslaved!" gestured the angry Fool at the materially chained. "Take a another closer look, you ridiculous fool." told him the dark god with a voice calm and cool. The Fool did so and realized suddenly that, although collared, the chains were losely hanging from the necks of the people bare, who could easily slip without a care. "They can be free if they wish to be." said the dark god with a sinister glee. "They are here, because they want their desires, their beast, to control them, but there are others..." At that he gestured at the peak of the mountain. "who used these impulses to reach the fountain of wisdom and power in both body and mind. Denial would have never allowed them the climb." Upon hearing this, the Fool understands that it is not evil that this god holds in his hands, but power of lows and heights. Frightening it may be, yet of freedom and transcendence within was the key. |
